DEVK Group - Success with Tradition

We are there for you:

For more than 125 years people have had full trust in the insurance cover of DEVK. Founded in 1886 as a burial fund for railway workers, DEVK Group is today a modern insurance company for which the basic principle is one of mutuality. Corporate autonomy and the responsibility to offer our members and clients attractive insurance cover, define our business.

DEVK is an insurance group with a modern corporate structure and a long tradition as a mutual insurer. At the top of the structure are two mutual insurance companies: DEVK Sach- und HUK –Versicherungsverein a.G. (Mutual Non-Life) and DEVK Lebensversicherungsverein a.G. (Mutual Life). As parent companies they are the sole shareholders of the DEVK corporate group and insure employees of the German Railway and various other transport companies.

Independence and Efficiency

Independence from outside capital providers, responsible risk management, a balanced investment policy and operational efficiency form the basis of our success. A high performing sales operation with 1,250 agencies, more than 2,300 full time distribution partners and 3,200 part time agents plays a central role in this success.

An All-rounder with Market Intimacy

Since opening our doors to customers outside the transport sector in the 1970s, DEVK has grown dynamically and in addition to Property Insurance and Life Assurance, new products continue to be offered. These include Legal Expenses Insurance and Health Insurance together with Pensions and Investment Funds. Today we are well established as a price competitive and service oriented primary insurer of private customers. With our subsidiaries and co-operation partners, we offer a broad range of financial and insurance products.

Corporate Structure of DEVK Group
